About Pole Dancing…

At PoleFit Carolinas, we teach the “art of pole dancing” for fitness purposes. This type of dance articulates beauty, strength, sensuality, and power.  It combines both strength and endurance, but also allows for personal creativity and style.  You WILL discover a stronger and more beautiful self-image of you. This fitness program can be your sole means of getting into the best shape of your life and staying that way.  Our program is addicting, thus an EASY one to stay committed to. Our classes are motivating, challenging, and empowering and are held in our beautiful studio in a non-judgmental environment full of support and fun.

Who is welcome to attend classes?

Everyone.  We support and encourage everyone to try pole fitness as their workout routine.  We foster a welcoming environment where everyone is made to feel comfortable with this unique form of fitness.

What should I wear to class?

Shorts are recommended but you may wear yoga pants or similar as well.  For Intro to Pole Classes it is still recommended that you wear shorts or a pant that you can roll up past your knee comfortably. You will learn beginner spins in the class and it is necessary to have skin & pole contact to be able to successfully spin.  More advanced students usually wear booty-type shorts because certain advanced poles moves require more skin & pole contact to accomplish poses and inverts safely.  A tank top, sports bra or t-shirt work just fine for up top. Try to avoid baggy clothing.  Feet…need you ask?  Barefoot in beginner classes or ballet slippers/dance shoes ok too.  As you advance, stilettos are always welcome and optional.  We sell pole clothing and dancewear called, “footies” which make movement on the floor far easier.

What should I bring to class?

A bottle of water (or two) and a towel couldn’t hurt either.  Oh, and don’t forget to bring your sexy attitude and a smile!

What are your terms & conditions?

You must arrive 5-10 minutes prior to start of class.  There will be no admittance once class has started.  This is for your safety as missing any part of the warm-up could cause you injury. Please do not wear any oils or lotions on your body the day of your class. This makes the poles dangerously slippery.  Please remove all rings, bracelets & necklaces prior to class.
