FAQ

About Pole Dancing…

At PoleFit Carolinas, we teach the “art of pole dancing” for fitness purposes. This type of dance articulates beauty, sensuality, grace and power.  It combines strength and endurance, but also allows for personal creativity and style.  You WILL discover a stronger and more beautiful self-image of you. This fitness program can be your sole means of getting into the best shape of your life and staying that way.  Women say our program is addicting, thus an EASY one to stay committed to. Our classes are motivating, challenging, empowering and FUN!

What type of women come to class?

Mothers, Daughters, Professional Women, College Students… your everyday woman looking for a new and fun fitness program experience. You will undergo an amazing metamorphosis and transformation of mind and body.  And, you will make great friends along the way.

What should I wear to class?

You may wear yoga pants, leggings, or fitted shorts.  For Intro to Pole Classes it is still recommended that you wear shorts or a pant that  you can roll up past your knee comfortably. You will learn some beginner spins in the class and it is necessary to have skin & pole contact to be able to successfully spin. More advanced students usually wear booty-type shorts because certain advanced poles moves require more skin & pole contact to accomplish poses and inverts safely. A tank top, sports bra or t-shirt work just fine for up top. Try to avoid baggy clothing. Feet…need you ask? Bring your highest sexy heels! You may also wear ballet slippers or go barefoot. We also sell great Pole Dance Shoes and Clothing should you feel inspired 🙂

What should I bring to class?

Please bring a yoga mat if you have one for the floor work (we have some at the studio if you don’t have one). A bottle of water (or two) and a towel couldn’t hurt either.  Oh, and don’t forget to bring your sexy attitude and smile!

What are your terms & conditions?

You must arrive 5-10 minutes prior to start of class.  There will be no admittance once class has started.  This is for your safety as missing any part of the warm-up could cause you injury. Please do not wear any oils or lotions on your body the day of your class. This makes the poles dangerously slippery. Please remove all rings, bracelets & necklaces prior to class.
